Cozad Woman Wins $310,000 Playing Nebraska Pick 5

Pauline Linder of Cozad won $310,000 playing Nebraska Pick 5 from the Nebraska Lottery.

Linder purchased her ticket at Pump & Pantry #32 at 604 E Hwy 30 in Cozad. The ticket contained five plays for the November 11 drawing, one of which matched that night’s winning numbers 07, 18, 35, 36 and 38.

When she checked her numbers on the Nebraska Lottery’s website, Linder said she was in shock.

“I took the ticket to my husband and said, “Look at this,’” she said.

“She just couldn’t believe it,” her husband Marvin Linder said.

Linder said she’s planning on paying off a few bills and putting the rest away in the bank.

The odds of winning the Nebraska Pick 5 jackpot, which starts at $50,000 and grows by $10,000 each drawing that is not won, are 1 in 658,008 while the overall odds of winning a prize in the game, which has drawings seven nights a week, are 1 in 9.2.
