Ceresco Woman Wins $50,000 Playing Powerball

Jody Ernst of Ceresco won $50,000 playing Powerball from the Nebraska Lottery.

Ernst purchased her ticket at Casey’s #3850 at 1445 Dry Run Dr. in Wahoo. The ticket contained one play for the November 15 drawing that matched four of the five winning numbers (03, 04, 51, 53, 60) winning numbers and the Powerball (06).

She’s a fairly regular player, Ernst said, but the win still came as a shock.

“I still can’t really believe it,” she said.

Powerball is a multi-state jackpot game currently offered by 45 state lotteries, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands. The odds of winning $1 million playing Powerball are 1 in 11,688,053.52 while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 24.9.
